Seven Mile Beach

A reimagined beach shack in Gerroa with views over Seven Mile Beach.

The house transformation by local Architect Liam Robertson of Robertson Collectif  maintains a relaxed coastal style which is respectful of the site context, floating unobtrusively over the Landscape below.

The landscape strives to speak a similar language, snaking around the building and rolling down the slope organically, blurring the boundaries between the site and it's surroundings.

Natural materials of sandstone, recycled sleepers and local hardwoods have been used in various applications, and pared with other earthy tones of cor-ten steel and grey off decking, to create a suitable weathered palette that blends with the landscape beyond.

The garden is predominantly planted with local native species, providing swathes of texture and flowering interest.

These dense masses of native flowering plants create habitat and food for wildlife, especially the local bird community which we hear gather most afternoons for a feed and a chat.
