Formed Gardens was engaged at an exciting stage of this stunning Clontarf family project — joining an extensive high-spec home renovation to deliver a considered, cohesive landscape design that would complement the newly transformed home inside and out.

A new swimming pool was at the top of the wishlist, and Formed Gardens delivered in spectacular fashion. The fully tiled custom concrete swimming pool is generous in scale — deliberately so. The garden's dimensions called for bold proportions, and the result is a beautifully balanced outdoor space where the pool feels entirely at home.

Surrounding the pool, soft tumbled Limestone paving creates a relaxed, resort-style atmosphere — warm underfoot and elegant in aesthetic. An extended Spotted Gum timber deck gently wraps around the pool and garden, providing additional space for outdoor living and entertaining. Large format sandstone steppers transition seamlessly from the deck to a new sandstone block seating area — a perfect breakout zone for the family to relax and enjoy the Sydney sunshine.

Every element of this Clontarf landscape was designed with family living in mind. The outdoor entertaining area flows naturally from the home, creating the ultimate indoor-outdoor lifestyle so sought after in Sydney's Northern Beaches. A striking wood-burning pizza oven structure, built from sandstone, adds a spectacular focal point and a true alfresco entertaining experience.

Formed Gardens also designed and constructed the front entry landscape, ensuring a welcoming and unified aesthetic flows throughout the entire property. The same warm Limestone paving and stepping stones connect front to back, with sandstone detailing mirroring the rear garden's natural material palette. A beautifully unique copper outdoor shower at the front entry adds a charming and practical finishing touch — perfect for rinsing off after a visit to Clontarf's beloved local swimming hole.
