Rushcutters Bay

This compact inner-city terrace courtyard in Rushcutters Bay presented significant challenges - overgrown vegetation, persistent mosquito issues and virtually no useable outdoor living space for the young family.

However, our landscape designers recognized immense potential: established mature trees, natural screening from neighbouring properties and stunning Sydney city skyline views beyond the courtyard walls.

The primary design objective was transforming this neglected space into a practical, functional outdoor entertaining area for an active young family who love alfresco living.

Building on our previous landscape projects with these clients, we understood their aesthetic vision and lifestyle requirements. Our Sydney landscape construction team cleared the overgrown site to create a thoughtfully planned design that maximizes every centimetre of available space.

Selected materials including aged terracotta pavers, reclaimed sandstone, textured render, and weathered timber reflect the owners' connection to Italy and Europe. These premium finishes bring warmth, character and timeless Mediterranean style to this inner Sydney courtyard.
