Our landscape architecture team transformed this outdoor space with a custom swimming pool, designer cabana, and layered garden design, all beautifully integrated beneath the existing Jacaranda and Eucalypt canopy for a lush, tropical retreat.

Innovative Pool & Cabana Construction
Through strategic site planning and client consultation, we employed suspended slab construction to position the poolside cabana at the rear boundary beneath established trees. This maximized space for the 8.5m x 4m swimming pool and generous lawn area while preserving the mature landscape.
The custom swimming pool features an 8-person integrated spa, energy-efficient heat pump, and concealed automatic pool blanket. Elegant Balistone mosaic tiles in natural green tones beautifully reflect the surrounding garden.
A timber-clad storage shed and intimate fire pit area are cleverly tucked into the rear setback, adding functionality and ambiance.
Premium Low-Maintenance Materials
We selected durable, sustainable materials including composite decking, fibre cement Axon cladding, natural sandstone pavers, dark steel accents, and quality timber—all chosen for longevity, sustainability, and effortless maintenance.
Layered Garden Design
The planting design combines tropical foliage including Heliconia and Philodendron with native grasses and hardy succulents, creating rich textural layers around the pool zone. The existing Lilly Pilly hedge provides natural privacy screening along the lawn, while plantings between the pool and laneway embrace a softer, organic aesthetic.
This contemporary landscape design frames and celebrates the leafy borrowed landscape beyond, creating a serene Inner West sanctuary.
